M-107 WATER BUFFALO TRAILER
History
The M107 Water Trailer or "Water Buffalo" was used to transport and store up to 400 gallons of drinkable water to troops in the field. It has an aluminum 400gal tank on an M103 chassie. Water transport was extremely important during the Vietnam War, especially the dry season, which can last four to six months out of the year.
The water trailer arrived at the museum after it was donated to the Connecticut Air & Space Center by CASC member Tim Benson.
